Orthodontics

Clear aligners, ClearCorrect, and 6-Month Smiles for kids, teens, and adults in Centennial Hills — straighten teeth without a specialist referral.

Orthodontic treatment moves teeth into better alignment over time. At Centennial Family Dentistry, we offer clear aligner therapy in-house — which means most patients can get straighter teeth without adding an orthodontist referral to the process.

What’s included

Clear aligners. We fit and monitor clear aligner treatment for teens and adults. Aligners are removable, nearly invisible, and changed out on a schedule until your teeth reach the target position. Total treatment time depends on your case — minor crowding often resolves faster than complex bite issues.

ClearCorrect. ClearCorrect is a clear aligner brand with a strong clinical track record. We use it for a broad range of cases, from mild spacing to more involved alignment work.

6-Month Smiles. 6-Month Smiles uses tooth-colored brackets and wires focused on the front teeth. It’s designed for adults who want a faster cosmetic result. Most cases wrap up in four to nine months.

Occlusal / sports mouthguards. We fabricate custom-fit guards for patients who grind at night or play contact sports. An over-the-counter guard can help, but a custom appliance fits better and lasts longer.

Who orthodontic treatment is for

Orthodontic work isn’t only for teenagers. Adults make up a large share of aligner patients — often people who had braces as kids and experienced relapse, or adults who never had the chance to address crowding. The main clinical driver is the same at any age: misaligned teeth are harder to clean and put uneven wear on enamel.

We work with kids starting in the early teen years, once most permanent teeth are in. For younger children showing jaw development concerns, we’ll refer to a specialist at the right time.

What to expect during a consult

We take photos and a digital scan during the consult. That scan becomes the basis for a simulated result — you can see roughly what your teeth would look like after treatment before committing. We’ll also be clear about whether your case is a good fit for aligner therapy or whether braces with an orthodontist would produce a better outcome.

How treatment works

Clear aligner treatment starts with a series of custom trays, each shifting teeth a small amount. You swap trays every one to two weeks and come in for short check visits every six to eight weeks. We monitor progress and adjust the plan if needed.

Retainers after treatment are essential — teeth want to drift back, especially in the first year. We build the retainer phase into the plan from the start.
