General Dentistry
Preventive and restorative care for patients of all ages, from routine cleanings to same-day dental emergencies.
General dentistry is the day-to-day work that keeps your teeth and gums healthy for the long haul. At Centennial Family Dentistry, most of what we do falls into this category — cleanings, exams, fillings, x-rays, and the kind of honest conversation that helps you understand what’s going on in your mouth before a small issue becomes a bigger one.
What’s included
Cleanings and exams. We see patients for regular hygiene visits every six months, or more often if your gums need closer attention. A cleaning removes the buildup your toothbrush misses, and the exam gives us a picture of where things stand.
Dental x-rays. Digital x-rays let us see decay, bone levels, and developing problems that aren’t visible during a visual exam. We take them on a schedule that makes clinical sense — not on autopilot.
Fillings. When decay reaches a tooth, a tooth-colored composite filling restores it. Most fillings are done in a single visit.
Children’s dentistry. We see kids starting around age one and try to make early visits feel normal rather than scary. Sealants and fluoride treatments are part of our pediatric toolkit.
Periodontal therapy. Gum disease is more common than people expect, and it’s treatable. If your gums bleed, pull back from your teeth, or feel tender, we’ll walk you through what’s happening and what options you have.
Tooth extractions. When a tooth can’t be saved, a clean extraction is often the right call. We handle routine extractions in-office and keep you comfortable throughout.
Oral sedation. Patients who feel anxious in the dental chair can request oral sedation. It takes the edge off without putting you fully under — you stay conscious and responsive, just relaxed.
Dental emergencies. Toothaches, broken teeth, and dental injuries don’t keep office hours. We make time for same-day appointments when something urgent comes up.
Oral cancer screening. We check for early signs of oral cancer at every exam. Caught early, the odds are good.
Who we see
We see the full range — adults, seniors, and kids. A lot of our patients are families who want one office they can trust for everyone. We’ve built our schedule to accommodate that: you can often book family members back-to-back.
What to expect at your first visit
Your first appointment includes a complete exam and x-rays. We’ll review your dental history, look at what’s going on with your teeth and gums, and talk through anything we find before recommending any treatment. No surprise upsells, no pressure.
If you’re coming in for a specific problem — pain, a broken tooth, something you’ve been putting off — we’ll focus there first.
Insurance and payment
We’re in-network with most PPO plans and accept a range of financing options. Our team will check your benefits before your visit so you know what to expect on the cost side.
Our office is on Ann Road near the 215 in Centennial Hills — easy to get to from Summerlin, Lone Mountain, and most of Northwest Las Vegas. If you’re ready to schedule, give us a call at (702) 385-7415 or use the online form.
